Share sensitive product data online by generating a PDX file containing definition information, edit the contents of updating them and share the packages online. Viewing the received packages is possible via a remote server or directly in the suite. Data import from other systems is possible.
Agile eXpress allows Agile users to create a PDX package containing product definition data and publish it to their partners. Interested parties can then view the data using Agile eXpress even if they don't have access to the Agile server.
The Agile Web Client allows you to import product data created on another system or another Agile system into your Agile system. Using Agile eXpress and the Agile Web Client, customers and partners can exchange all product information required to build a new product or change an existing product.
In a typical case, an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with the Agile system has a design to communicate to an electronics manufacturer services provider (EMS, also called contract electronics manufacturer-CEM), who builds the component or assembly. The product data might include changes, parts, BOMs, manufacturers, manufacturer parts, approved manufacturer lists (AMLs), drawings, and so on.
When a design changes, the manufacturer needs to communicate the changes to the EMS. Agile eXpress can create a package of this information from the Agile database and send it to the EMS. At the receiving end, the EMS then uses Agile eXpress to view that data, and print it or extract it as needed for use in spreadsheets or other applications.
